What is the main goal for this project?


Over 57% of minority graduate students dropout of graduate schools for a variety of reasons, including a lack of financial resources. Our mission is to build a community of support networks and reverse this trend.


Goal: Recruit minority graduate students through a social media campaign.



  • Publish/post daily to social media accounts
  • Grow social media account followers
  • Recruit students to test GTP digital platform
  • Recruit graduate students to join and become members of GTP platform
  • Brand Management/Marketing (Identifying free public relations events to participating in)




What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Student volunteer learners will design social media strategies to reach marginalized minority

graduate students. Skill set required:


  • Social media marketing to consumers
  • Brand management marketing to strategic business partners and consumers


How will you support learners in completing the project?

GTP support staff will provide daily staff meetings via Zoom, and are available to meet with student interns on an "as needed" basis for additional support.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

Student interns must have some level of social media skills, have an outgoing personality, and willingness to do marketing outreach.
