marketing research marketing digital content delivery social media content creation communicative approaches business communicationThe main objective of this project is to support a newcomer or early-stage entrepreneur in launching or growing their business in the Canadian market, while simultaneously providing students with meaningful, hands-on experience in marketing strategy and brand development.
Through this collaboration, students will apply real-world marketing skills to help the entrepreneur:
- Build or refine their brand identity
- Increase visibility within their target audience
- Understand their competitive landscape and ideal customer
- Plan their outreach and presence for the upcoming year
- Develop strategic, platform-ready content for digital channels
This project is designed to provide mutual benefit:
🧠 For students — portfolio-worthy experience, applied learning, and direct impact
🚀 For founders — practical tools, insights, and momentum to launch with clarity and confidence
The goal is not just to complete tasks, but to co-create an actionable marketing foundation that a passionate, under-resourced founder can use immediately — and build on for long-term success.
Students will collaborate with a newcomer entrepreneur to develop a foundational marketing plan and visibility strategy for their business. The work will be applied, guided by real-world goals, and tailored to the founder’s brand, audience, and market context.
Deliverables include:

- The target audience
- Key competitors in the local or online market

A simple planning tool for upcoming appearances or outreach, which may include:
- Local markets or pop-ups
- Seasonal campaigns

A curated bundle of 8–10 social media posts (captions + visuals), including:
