Our company currently provides arrival and support services to newcomers coming to Canada(Permanent Residents, students, workers). We however are looking to become more niche by targeting International PostGraduate & Graduate students. We want to better understand our target market and the overall market, so we can uniquely position ourselves within our industry. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct market research. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our company’s values, products and services. Researching our target market and market potential. Researching the industry and competitive landscape. Recommending strategies to improve our positioning, brand, products and services. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending strategies to differentiate ourselves from our competition.
Job Market Readiness Program for International Postgraduate Students
The main goal for the project is to create a robust Job Market Readiness program that effectively prepares international postgraduate students in Canada for the Canadian job market. This program will be delivered through a Discord-based platform and aims to provide essential services to support these students. The program should focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by international students and provide personalized, comprehensive, and supportive experiences. The tasks that learners will need to complete to achieve the project goal include: - Conducting research on the Canadian job market and its requirements for international postgraduate students. - Analyzing the specific challenges faced by international students in Canada when seeking employment. - Developing a comprehensive curriculum for the Job Market Readiness program, including topics such as resume building, interview preparation, networking, and cultural integration. - Identifying key components of the program that will be most beneficial to international postgraduate students. - Providing strategic recommendations for the development of the program, including potential partnerships and resources that could enhance its effectiveness.

MapleCompass aims to build brand awareness and attract potential customers through targeted content marketing efforts. This project will involve creating compelling content and developing a marketing campaign to promote MapleCompass's services to international postgraduate students. Desired Deliverables: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Development of a content strategy outlining topics, formats, and distribution channels for MapleCompass Bonus steps in the process would also include: Execution of a multi-channel marketing campaign to distribute the content and engage with the target audience across platforms like social media and online communities.
