Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Central Michigan University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.Students in this program are introduced to the topic of compensation. The concepts and critical thinking skills stressed in this course are applicable in all types of organizations and jobs in which students will eventually find themselves. At the conclusion of this course, students are expected to be able to develop a compensation system and discuss important compensation issues intelligently with professionals (including recruiters) and effectively articulate the importance of HRM in today’s organizations.
Quantitative Research in Communication
COM 601
Students in this course learn to leverage research methods such as observational research, content analysis, and survey research, and statistical concepts such as reliability analysis (alpha), ANOVAs, chi-squares, correlations, and regressions. Students will complete a semester-long research project in which they will utilize appropriate methods and analyze resulting data to devise recommendations for your company.
