Student ProjectsHow we can helpIn this project, a team of students will help your company understand and solve a UX/UI design problem over a seven week period. Students will work as a team to apply their skills as the "capstone project" in their certificate program.User Experience (UX) Design and User Interface (UI) Design are the two sides of user-centred design, an emergent field that has seen rapid growth over the past few years. UX explores what it means to be user-centred, while UI other examines how users interact within a space. Both require skills in design thinking, research, and working with diverse teams and stakeholders.Program BackgroundOur UX/UI Certificate Program teaches how to approach problems from a user-centred perspective, and how to conduct user research to best guide the design process. This program is online and teaches participants the foundations ofboth UX and UI design.

Consumer Behavior is a 3rd year undergraduate marketing course at the University of Alberta's School of Business, one of the top 5 business schools in Canada.Students will each work 15–25 hours throughout the fall semester, in groups of 4–5, on an applied consumer behavior project, guided by your organizational goals and priorities. Students have already taken introductory marketing courses; this course focuses on the deeper psychological factors influencing consumer behavior, and how those factors are used by marketers.
