Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Assist with this manufacturing scale up projects Introduce new supporting process activities to reach target quality production capacity Introduce and apply various equipment, and methodologies to build a reliable & efficient production (time, labour, and cost) Capture and document good manufacturing practices (places, people, processes, and products) Provide recommendations for purchase, installation and scaling batches as sales volumes grow Review regulatory requirements for the production facility and final products. ABOUT YOU (INTERN) You are close to finishing your studies in engineering (manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred) and know how to develop a new manufacturing process and product operation. You have a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement, have a sharp analytical and mechanical mindset with a desire to apply them toward real manufacturing challenges. You are a great communicator, and have skills to analyze production risks/challenges and give solutions for identified potential problems. You have the ability to conduct production cost studies from the proposed manufacturing scale up process. You are a positive, and extremely motivated and organized individual who can be self-directed in both team-based and individual settings. Agronomist Intern - SS

PROJECT We are currently selling our organic plant nutrients (Enviotin) to greenhouse growers. Understanding the difficulties or challenges that growers have when utilizing current fertilizers will aid us in improving our value proposition. The goal of this project is to establish sales strategies (SS) of Enviotin to various target markets. LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES This position is a great opportunity to use your knowledge and build your science communication skills to create meaningful marketing and sales development content. - Review of our business model and opportunity to support the United Nations Sustainability Goals especially SDGs 2, 3, 12, 13, 15. - Establish our carbon footprint and help us to define how we can help our customer to reduce their carbon footprint by switching to more sustainable natural and locally sourced plant nutrients. - Develop our theory of change on how we can deliver a meaningful impact by transforming current practices and enabling more sustainable, local growing practices, support the climate goals and contribute to the local circular economy. - Use IRIS metrics to understand impact performance - Prepare messaging and content (articles and videos) to share our story with flower growers across Canada. - Improve the sustainability triple bottom line, the social, economic, and environmental outcome of the company.
