Students will research customer’s behavior through sales trends of various companies, analyze the data, create predictive models, and provide recommendations for how to move forward. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Analyzing market data to define different segments based on customer needs. Choosing appropriate metrics to examine the data, and analyzing it using data analysis software to identify trends and correlations. Creating predictive models for various outcomes the market may face. Creating a report with all findings from analysis conducted, including recommendations for next steps.

Our database contains tens of thousands of active stock items. Each item has a variety of information that needs to be kept up to date to ensure the best information for our staff and customers. We would like to collaborate with students in data entry. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our database structure. Transferring data into our databases efficiently. Verifying the accuracy of the data in our databases and making relevant updates. Organizing and retrieving data as requested. Auditing existing data to ensure missing data corrected Determine standard naming conventions, document, and implement. Our company provides regular training for employees, so they are up-to-date on policies and processes as well as changes within the industry. To make training more convenient, we hope to transform our training programs into an online knowledge database/wiki. We would like to work with students to determine what hierarchy and materials employees would find useful in an online training database. Based on this information, students can then recommend the template and deploy. Tasks include: Gathering relevant course design and content information from interviews / surveys with key stakeholders. Assess existing training materials and convert into the online knowledge database. Reviewing our existing training material and making recommendations for improvements in clarity . Assisting in designing the course material and creating training material that does not exist yet. Ensuring consistency in templating and design throughout the database.
