Our database contains tens of thousands of active stock items. Each item has a variety of information that needs to be kept up to date to ensure the best information for our staff and customers.
We would like to collaborate with students in data entry.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with our database structure.
- Transferring data into our databases efficiently.
- Verifying the accuracy of the data in our databases and making relevant updates.
- Organizing and retrieving data as requested.
- Auditing existing data to ensure missing data corrected
- Determine standard naming conventions, document, and implement.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Documentation of anything learned into a policy or procedure for future reference.
- Assessing product pricing to competitors for update to database
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
