A Calgary Based Not-For-Profit with a focus on mental health, particularly for Gender-Diverse individuals.
Currently we are running monthly skills workshops to teach individuals how to make and alter their clothing to best represent their gender expression. Recent projects
Grantwriting and Administrative Project
The goal for this project is to learn and implement skills in grantwriting and administrative duties required to operate a not-for-profit organization in Canada. Deliverables will include one (1) completed expression of interest letter drafted and submitted to a granting body. Students will learn how to implement this into their own education and how this skill translates into writing scholarships for post secondary education and work within the charitable sector.
Human Resources recruitment and onboarding process development
Our goal for this project is to expand our documentation for recruitment and onboarding and to provide real world experience to students. This job will consist of fine tuning and developing written guides and procedures for the recruiting, interview and onboarding processes as well as implementing these procedures in real life recruiting, hiring and onboarding situations. Giving students meaningful engagement is a core goal of Threads That Thrive. This is Phase two of Three (four as business needs require) and we anticipate two students will suffice for this position. 2SLGBTQ+ Not-for-Profit Business Plan
Outline and create a business plan for a 2SLGBTQ+ focused Not-For-Profit including a brief 5 year plan. We are launching a new e-commerce based revenue stream and looking to expand our reach for the services we offer to Calgarians. The business plan you create will focus on expansion in Southern Alberta as well as launching the online sales page. Students will provide a 10-15 page business plan by the end of this project.
Brand Book expansion and Social Media Brainstorming
This project aims to develop and expand on existing brand book contents to better define who we are as a company and how to reach our target demographics. The project will aim to better define the company identity and help bring awareness to Threads That Thrive and our offerings.
