talent recruitment employee onboardingOur goal for this project is to expand our documentation for recruitment and onboarding and to provide real world experience to students.
This job will consist of fine tuning and developing written guides and procedures for the recruiting, interview and onboarding processes as well as implementing these procedures in real life recruiting, hiring and onboarding situations.
Giving students meaningful engagement is a core goal of Threads That Thrive. This is Phase two of Three (four as business needs require) and we anticipate two students will suffice for this position. PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU TOOK PART IN PHASE ONE
The student will have to work on documented procedures that we will implement into the business. Researching and implementing topics like application forms, interview processes and techniques, background checks
Students will also be expected to run a recruitment process for one instructor for our workshops through LinkedIn or Volunteer Connect.
Deliverables will include detailed interview notes with hiring recommendations, a comprehensive application and employee/volunteer identification form and a written procedure for discrimination in the workplace.
Constant communication and feedback will be provided, Networking opportunities and industry mentors may also be available as the project progresses.
Management will allow for students to conduct real life interviews, with supervision, and provide feedback.

A Calgary Based Not-For-Profit with a focus on mental health, particularly for Gender-Diverse individuals.
Currently we are running monthly skills workshops to teach individuals how to make and alter their clothing to best represent their gender expression. We are looking to partner with other local organizations to expand our service offerings to better support the 2SLGBTQ+ communities of Southern Alberta.
