Key Deliverables: Recruitment Plan : Develop and implement a recruitment strategy, including job descriptions, outreach methods, and candidate selection criteria. Performance Management Criteria : Create evaluation metrics for assessing the performance of the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Onboarding Program : Design and evaluate an employee orientation and training program tailored to the Executive Director’s role, ensuring they are well-prepared for their responsibilities. This project will involve designing a new logo, developing consistent branding materials, and crafting a strategic public relations plan. The PR strategy will focus on media outreach and storytelling to engage potential customers and build a positive brand image. By refining FLP's brand identity, the project aims to increase visibility and attract a wider audience, ultimately supporting the company's growth and success.

By implementing effective SEO strategies, the project aims to improve the website's search engine ranking, thereby increasing visibility and accessibility to a broader audience. Additionally, the project will involve designing and launching targeted marketing campaigns to drive engagement and attract potential customers, including individuals, educators, and organizations. The ultimate goal is to support the growth and success of Francesca Licursi Publishing by making its offerings easily accessible online.

Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding for Youth Empowerment Day 2025
Project Goal: Develop a volunteer recruitment, selection, and retention system to support Youth Empowerment Day 2025 , while applying HR principles in a real-world context. Tasks & Activities: Recruitment & Selection : Create and implement a volunteer recruitment plan, aligning with best practices in talent acquisition. Performance Management : Develop a volunteer evaluation and feedback system to monitor performance and engagement. Training & Development : Design and deliver volunteer onboarding and training programs, assessing their effectiveness post-event. Labour Relations : Ensure effective communication and conflict resolution during volunteer management. Compensation & Recognition : Research and propose volunteer recognition strategies to enhance retention and motivation. Health & Safety : Collaborate on safety policies, ensuring volunteers are trained on event protocols. Technology & Communication : Utilize HR information systems to track volunteer participation and communication. Present HR messages effectively across channels. This project involves developing a comprehensive HR policy book aligned with Ontario labor laws, creating governance documents including a Terms of Reference (ToR) and roles and responsibilities for a Board of Directors, designing an organizational chart, and compiling the required documentation for non-profit registration in Ontario. The project provides students with hands-on experience in policy development, governance planning, and regulatory compliance.

Social Media Strategy and Campaign Development for Youth Empowerment Collective
The Youth Empowerment Collective is a grassroots initiative dedicated to empowering youth (ages 5-17) to share their stories through art, writing, and creative expression. We are preparing for our Second Annual Youth Empowerment Festival in May 2025, which includes the launch of our youth anthology book—a collection of stories, poems, and artwork contributed by local youth. This project will enhance the digital presence of the Youth Empowerment Collective (YEC) by prioritizing strategic social media planning, content creation, and campaign execution for Youth Empowerment Day on May 4th . The project will involve 5 students working 60 hours each per phase over three phases. To ensure the campaign's success, the team will include a communications specialist to focus on broader outreach strategies, including paid ads, website optimization, and press releases.
