Website UI / UX Designer

Our company would like to collaborate with a designer student to design our website. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users.This will involve: .Identifying what areas of focused might return the best results in a design.Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the latest and greatest tool currently available.Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendlyConducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this

Website Overhaul/Creation and Custom Plugin Development

We are at a point of change in our business where we are looking to branch what we do into two distinct directions - a high end luxury product line and a DIY product line. These two branches have very different target markets. Our current website combines everything together and the branding doesn't suit both audiences.Our main goal is to create separation between our high end products and DIY products under two different names - YYC Beeswax for the DIY products and The Abelo Collection for our high end products. We already own both domains and, of course, YYC Beeswax is already a fully functioning e-commerce website. We would like to develop The Abelo Collection and revisit our design for YYC Beeswax giving it a much needed refresh. Depending on how technical you'd like to get, we have a couple of custom plugins we'd like developed that will help our customers and potential customers with their DIY projects (a wick calculator and a beeswax conversion tool).

Performance Testing

.We would like to collaborate with students to conduct performance testing. This will help us identify specific areas of improvement.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our users, services, and products.Identifying performance metrics and benchmarks.Planning and designing performance tests.Implementing and executing tests using performance testing tools.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Analyzing results and retesting.

Creating Graphic Design Assets

Our company has had the same design assets, and although we have enjoyed this branding, we are looking to revamp and update our brand book. This may involve: Creating a new branding guide that is new, but still aligned with our existing branding including fonts, colors, logo usage and imagery to be used.Meeting with the project manager to evaluate the choices made for the branding book to ensure it is aligned with company branding goals, and making any necessary revisions.Designing and presenting thumbnails for design assets (banner ad, illustration, infographic, etc) based on the branding guide to be included in a proposal and presented to the project manager.Executing the full designs for each branding asset using Canva, based on the approved thumbnails.Creating multiple thumbnails with different color schemes based on the colors in the branding guide.
