Level UP: Earth Common Journal - Volume 8 (Phase IV)
Earth Common Journal is creating, developing, and publishing its Volume 8, Issue 1 - "Adapt" (2022). Earth Common Journal ( ECJ ) is an international undergraduate peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum where students communicate a diversity of ideas and information on issues concerning conservation, sustainability, and climate adaptation. ECJ is published by the MacEwan University Bachelor of Communication Studies program. It is published annually each fall, with its inaugural issue released in 2011. The journal accepts articles from all disciplines, and includes research projects that are empirical, qualitative, creative, and interdisciplinary in content and approach. It also accepts articles from students internationally, to provide global perspectives and discussions on conservation, sustainability, and climate adaptation. Students in the disciplines of communication, journalism, editing, media, public relations,and writing are being sought to create this issue.
Level Up - Book - Research in Comms (Vol. 1 Phase V 2023)
The book collection will be both an eBook and a printed book. It will be a compilation of Communication students research work that they have accomplished through their advanced research methods 4th year class and Independent Study projects. The eBook will include an in-person interview with each student research group, which will be conducted in the Communication Production Studio in Allard Hall. The interviews will be recorded using video. It includes two Research Assistants who have completed their BCSC 411 - Advanced Research Methods course. They will be applying their writing, communication, editing, and technology skills. This book project is being initiative as the first volume of student research which will be published annually. This book will act as a record of the research studies that the students in the Department of Communication create, develop, design, gather data, provide results and present conclusions about their studies.

Level Up - Communication and Learning Approaches Study (Phase IV- 2023)
Communication and Learning Approaches Research Study (Phase IV) This study examines how university students and educators apply their communication and learning styles/approaches in relation to a class/lesson. By comparing these two styles/approaches, the intent is to determine if there are any correlations with respect to the way that they are applied in class/lesson activities. Two student Research Assistants will work on the redevelopment and adaptation of a comprehensive online Inventories that are used to understand how university students and professors apply their communication and learning approaches within a classroom setting (Educators` Application of Their Learning and Communication Styles (EALCS) Inventory (Mazo, 2008)).
