Talent Coordinator For Volunteers
We would like to support our volunteers and help connect them to recruiters and hiring managers looking for talent. We currently work with a team of over 20 volunteers, much of whom are still completing their undergraduate degree. Our objective with this Talent Coordinator project is to create a mailing list of recruiters and hiring managers who will be sent our monthly newsletters. Starting February 2023, our monthly newsletter will feature two volunteers per month, their work portfolio and a short project that they have completed in the past. Our aim here to is make recruiters and hiring managers more aware of the amazing work our volunteers do with the goal of potentially hiring them or scheduling an interview with them.

We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications that support our mission and vision statement. We believe this project will include: Assist with defining a company-identified community problem and as well a problem that impacts racialized communities. Developing solutions to address the problem that is aligned with the organization's mission and capacity. Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding. Identify potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project. Support with grant writing for the organization. As well as improve the clarity and persuasiveness of our company's grant proposal writing.
Fundraising Plan
Our organization is committed to serving our target population. However, we are currently facing funding challenges. We would like to collaborate with students to develop a fundraising plan to meet our goals. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, values and goals. Familiarizing themselves with our past fundraising activities and donors. Conducting background research on fundraising strategies. Recommending suitable fundraising strategies and creating a timeline / calendar of these activities. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Assisting in implementing new fundraising activities.
