Tapfuma is a trade and investment executive dedicated to increasing the connectivity between African markets and other regions of the world. Having grown up a Canadian citizen, his passion led him to spend most of his working life across Africa (mainly South Africa and Ghana) where he engaged in community development, business development, management consulting and entrepreneurship. He is now based in Toronto, Canada where he founded Eschaton Solutions Ltd. – a boutique firm that promotes sustainable trade and investment with African markets – and Afrifursa – an initiative that seeks to shift the narrative around Africa in the Diaspora. He is currently a Managing Director at private equity firm Raygan Mills, which originates from a 3-generation old family office with roots in Cameroon. Tapfuma plays a strategic advisory role to several firms and enjoys empowering others to succeed.

The main goal for the project is to secure grant funding and sponsorship for the Afri Future Tech Summit. This will involve several different steps for the team, including:- Researching potential grant opportunities and sponsorship programs.- Developing a compelling proposal outlining the summit's objectives, expected outcomes, and impact.- Identifying key stakeholders and potential sponsors to approach.- Creating a detailed budget and financial plan for the summit.- Crafting a strategic outreach and communication plan to engage potential funders and sponsors.
