Watching my parents struggle financially to raise a family with 9 children, I knew, from a young age, that education and personal development was the key to financial freedom. Itโs a lesson thatโs served me well, and that I continue to pass on to others as an educator and entrepreneur.
I arrived in Canada from Hong Kong in 1980 and started my career in the financial industry. I founded a successful networking group in 1998 that is now in its second decade in existence.
My drive resulted in the birth of a mental mathematics-based child learning center in 2010. When the lockdowns from COVID-19 began, I pivoted the learning center to an online virtual classroom (Easy Math for Kids). I have formed an Education Advisory Board in 2021, and began the development of an online system to deliver our mental math curriculum for K-8. My vision is to deliver high quality, affordable and accessible education to children around the world.

B2B Sales Process Optimization in Children Education
Our company is hoping to improve our B2B sales process to improve our ROI and overall operations. In this project, students will evaluate our current sales process, determine bottlenecks, and create recommendations. Based on research and best practices you will develop new scripts for our sales staff to use to improve the quality and quantity of leads generated and increase the conversion rate.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Evaluating our current sales process by speaking with sales representatives.Researching industry sales processes and lead generation strategies.Create recommendations that will improve our leads and conversion rate.Writing new sales scripts for both phone calls and emails.Creating a sales process handbook.
Children Virtual Education Research and Implementation
Number of individual positions available: 1Amidst COVID-19, a lot of opportunities for virtual education opened up. We're looking to research and have a student or team help us learn the best ways of teaching and educating children. We'd like the help from students to conduct the lead generation process to find new prospects, create market funnels that will make our enrollment process more efficient. Student will also help us envision what children education will look like in the future and what are better strategies of teaching children, especially online.
Web application for Abacus mental math and musical sound
Number of individual positions available: 5Amidst COVID-19, a lot of opportunities for virtual education opened up. We have been delivering our children mathematic-based training program online over the past two years.Goal of the project:To develop an online accessible digital platform that supports linking musical tones while using a physical Abacus.The tool will stimulate an increase in the ease and speed with which young children mentally solve the simple mathematical operations of addition and subtraction.Project Objectives:ยท To support the use of musical sound in conjunction with visual Japanese abacus (Soroban).ยท By the end of this project , we expect to launch an accessible, online learning system using a digital abacus and sound available on most computers or mobile devices.
UI/UX for Children Online Education System
Number of individual positions available: 1Amidst COVID-19, a lot of opportunities for virtual education opened up. We have been delivering our children mathematic-based training program online over the past two years. We are also looking for students with UI/UX experience to help with the design of our online application for use by young children and teachers in our virtual classrooms.
