What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal of this business strategy project is to develop a comprehensive and effective strategy that enables Toyz to successfully introduce and promote game-based and adaptive learning products to minority and underserved students, and help them develop skills for STEAM careers. The aim is to increase access and equity in STEAM education and improve learning outcomes for these students.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  1. Conducting market research to identify the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target audience, as well as emerging trends and opportunities in the STEAM education market.
  2. Analyzing the competitive landscape to identify key competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, and potential threats to Toyz's business.
  3. Identifying the company's core values, mission, and vision, and developing a strategic framework that aligns with these elements and outlines the company's goals, priorities, and tactics for achieving them.
  4. Developing a product roadmap that outlines the development, launch, and marketing of new educational products that align with the company's mission and meet the needs of the target audience.
  5. Designing and implementing a marketing strategy that leverages a variety of digital and offline channels to promote the company's products, build brand awareness, and drive user acquisition and engagement.
  6. Identifying potential partners, collaborators, and sponsors.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work closely with CEO, Damola Idowu who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?
  1. Strategic planning and analysis: the ability to develop a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with the company's goals and priorities.
  2. Market research and analysis: the ability to identify and analyze target markets, competitors, and emerging trends in the STEAM education industry.
  3. Digital marketing and analytics: proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing, and search engine optimization.
  4. User experience design: understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques, to create engaging and user-friendly digital experiences for students and educators.
  5. Project management: ability to manage projects, budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  6. Communication and collaboration: strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and to present complex ideas and data clearly and effectively.
About the company

Toyz uses game-based learning and adaptive learning to introduce minority and underserved students to skills development for Science, Techology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) careers. Toyz has a career development product called #TOYZSTEAM

#TOYZSTEAM uses our own custom curriculum, workbook, and existing software tools to teach students to produce products through digital asset creation, coding, game design, 3D modeling, and product design. Students get takeaways of digital assets, a physical 3D model and exposure to software development and game design.
