The Transnova Group is seeking a comprehensive urban development plan for a new city in Uganda, spanning 100 acres. The project aims to create a sustainable, efficient, and livable urban environment that addresses the needs of a growing population while minimizing environmental impact. Learners will apply principles of urban planning, environmental science, and sustainable development to design a city layout that includes residential, commercial, and recreational areas. The project will also consider infrastructure needs such as transportation, water supply, and waste management. The goal is to create a blueprint that balances economic growth with environmental stewardship and social equity, providing a model for future urban developments in the region.

- Analyze the geographical and environmental context of the proposed site.

- Develop a city layout that optimizes land use and integrates green spaces.

- Propose sustainable infrastructure solutions for transportation, water, and waste management.

- Consider social, economic, and environmental factors in the planning process.

Deliverables

The project deliverables will include a detailed urban development plan document and a visual presentation of the proposed city layout. The document should outline the design principles, infrastructure proposals, and sustainability strategies. Additionally, a 3D model or digital rendering of the city plan will be required to visually communicate the proposed design.
