This role focuses on creating TikTok- and Reels-optimized videos that highlight Eliot Beauty’s products through a mix of scientific storytelling, UGC-style content, and polished product displays. The goal is to increase organic engagement, brand authority, and customer trust through relatable, visually compelling video campaigns grounded in real skincare education and social trends.
Students will be expected to complete the following:
- Trend Research Portfolio: Weekly roundup of viral video styles, formats, sounds, and skincare creator trends on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts (with analysis of how Eliot Beauty can replicate/adapt).
- Content Calendar: 4–6 week editorial calendar outlining video themes (e.g., product display videos, “before/after,” “ingredient breakdown,” "POV, You use... everyday for a month" “unboxing ASMR”, etc.).
- Video Production Deliverables:
- 6–8 edited TikTok/Reel videos using brand products
- At least 2 videos focused on science-backed storytelling (e.g., what peptides do, benefits of AHA/BHA, skincare myths debunked)
- At least 2 UGC-style videos (shot informally, simulating real customer reviews or influencer partnerships)
- 2 polished product spotlight videos (text overlays, music, transitions, captions)
- Performance Report: Engagement metrics tracking (views, likes, saves, shares, comments) for posted videos, with written insights and improvement suggestions.
- Final Presentation: A 10-minute presentation of results, video examples, and a recommended format bank or style guide for future Eliot Beauty content.
Ideal Learner Profile
This opportunity is ideal for students or recent grads in film/media, digital marketing, or social media content production. The ideal candidate:
- Has video editing experience
- Actively follows and engages with beauty/skincare creators on TikTok or Instagram
- Understands how scientific accuracy and brand trust play a role in modern beauty content
- Has strong creativity, visual instincts, and a sense for storytelling and cultural trends
Providing specialized, in-depth knowledge and general industry insights for a comprehensive understanding.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
