Main Duties:
Apply Data Analytics Tools
Interns will apply data analytics tools and techniques to optimize e-commerce performance, retail growth, product development, and supply chain efficiency for a fast-growing consumer goods company.
Solve Organizational Problems
Interns will address real business challenges by generating insights from sales, customer, and product data to support strategic decisions.
Demonstrate Ethical Data Practices
Interns will manage and analyze sensitive business and customer data ethically and in accordance with privacy standards.
Evaluate Broader Impact
Interns will assess the implications of their analysis on company growth, consumer trust, and operational sustainability.

Project Outcomes and Deliverables
Objective:
To support Myco Pet’s continued growth in e-commerce and retail distribution by analyzing sales trends, customer behavior, and product performance. Interns will clean and analyze data, build dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that contribute to operational efficiency, market strategy, and new product development.
Data Summary & Preprocessing
Data Description:
- E-commerce sales data (transactions, revenue, product category, AOV)
- Retail partner sales data (store location, SKU performance, inventory)
- Web analytics (site traffic, conversion rates, bounce rates)
- Customer data (purchase frequency, product preference, subscription info)
- Quality control data (lab test results for ingredients and batches)
Cleaning & Preparation:
- Identify and handle missing values and outliers
- Standardize data formats across systems (e.g., SKU naming, timestamps)
- Merge datasets from B2B, Shopify, and lab reporting platforms
Preprocessing Notes:
- Anonymize any personally identifiable customer data
- Create derived variables (e.g., repeat purchase rate, revenue per store)
Analysis or Modeling Output
- KPI Dashboards (Power BI or Tableau):
- Sales over time, AOV, top products, churn rate, retail vs. e-commerce comparison.
- Segmentation/Classification:
- Group customers by purchasing patterns and product preferences for marketing targeting.
- Time-Series Analysis:
- Detect seasonal trends and predict demand spikes to support supply chain planning.
- Anomaly Detection (QA/Operations):
- Identify outlier lab results or inventory inconsistencies to flag potential issues.
Insights Report
Key Findings:
- Top-performing products by channel (e.g., Gut & Immunity+ in e-commerce)
- Underperforming stores or SKUs by geography
- Churn trends in repeat customers
- Customer segment trends (e.g., high-value subscription users)
Visualizations:
- Dynamic dashboards with filters by product, region, or channel
- Heatmaps for store performance

Trends & Anomalies:
- Seasonality in supplement sales
- Conversion drop-offs linked to product page design or UX
- Lab quality deviations or shipping delays
Stakeholder Presentation
Deliver a clear, engaging summary to business leaders at Myco Pet, including:
