What is the main goal for this project?

The goal of this project is to validate a process designed to increase knowledge and authentic desire to advocate for positions that are opposed to one's preferred position. This is referred to as "pluralism" and is an extension of debate that will restore the intended purpose of debate which is to learn and to strengthen relationships with those who believe differently from us.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of the concept of pluralism and its purpose


- Ability to identify and articulate positions that are opposed to one's preferred position


- Ability to engage in meaningful dialogue with those who have different views


- Ability to reflect on the learning process and identify areas for improvement



Final deliverables should include:


- A written report summarizing the project's findings and outcomes


- A presentation summarizing the project's findings and outcomes


How will you support learners in completing the project?

Learners will have direct access to a wide range of business and nonprofit professionals who are ready to work on this project. There will be free - live - online learning to support the education of the learners. There will be series of Pluralism events that will allow the learners to learn by doing. The performance of the learners - documented by their written self-evaluation and presentations will help us adapt our process to assure its effectiveness.
