parkinson's disease advocacy project planning communication comprehensive planning project management coordinating neurology negotiation apache sparkThe PD Avengers, an advocacy group focused on raising awareness for neurological conditions, aims to secure global participation in their "Spark the Night" event on April 11, 2026. The project involves coordinating with various stakeholders to light up iconic buildings, bridges, and landmarks in blue, symbolizing support for those affected by Parkinson's disease. The challenge is to effectively communicate the importance of this initiative to building managers and city officials, ensuring widespread participation. Students will apply their skills in project management, communication, and negotiation to achieve this goal. The project will also provide an opportunity to explore cultural and logistical considerations when organizing a global event. By the end of the project, students will have developed a comprehensive plan to engage and secure commitments from key locations worldwide.
