Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for (2) marketing students or teams.


The primary focus for the student will be:


  • Complete competitive/ category analyses and marketplace dynamic assessments to assist in industry social strategies
  • Develop and execute marketing plans, and supporting tactical projects that increase brand awareness, revenue and benefit one or more areas of our business as well as track program metrics and recommend adjustments for continuous improvements.
  • Maintain and ensure most current corporate brand guidelines and marketing materials are being used internally or externally for creative briefs. Regularly review brand assets/ docs to ensure all assets adhere to standards while maintaining brand integrity and consistency across channels.
  • Work closely with the head of graphics to ensure we are aligned, with branding and creative materials above.
  • Liaise with Communications team (Blogger/copywriter) to ensure marketing & Comms material library is up to date and distributed to appropriate channels
  • Manage and organize brand assets in company google drive to ensure
  • Manage brand asset distribution to meet internal and external requests for completed or recommended marketing materials
  • Responsible for researching and writing creative briefs including competitor insights as well as continuously monitoring marketing trends while keeping a close eye on the competitive landscape. Conduct and evaluate the market, customers, and competitors to drive new marketing and brand campaigns as well as pitch new initiatives that Eight50 Coffee can leverage.
  • Assist with, mapping out customer journey + (UX) experience, track, and coordinate multiple complexities involved in managing a brand, including metric performance and program results to identify insights on how to improve programs
  • Initiate, recommend and continuously develop new SOP’s that help to improve departmental processes
  • Responsible for managing special projects as they arise from campaign programs to internal corporate initiative
  • Market Research - Investigate our competitive landscape; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market for (new or existing product or service); conduct customer surveys or focus groups to gain insights into the perceptions and behaviours of our target customers; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for (new product or service).
  • Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases, user testimonials, case studies, and customer stories.



Deliverables

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

  • Branding and Marketing Communications - For the student(s) to help us improve our brand's presence and capture greater market share.
  • Market Research - For the student(s) to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer.
  • Public Relations - For the student(s) to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a broad audience.
  • Prospecting Strategy - For the student(s) to help us implement better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales team's performance

Other duties the student may complete could include: (indicate other duties as exemplified below)

  • Assist with outbound email marketing campaigns as needed; measure and report on performance of these campaigns using tools such as (indicate tools used, eg. Facebook, Instagram, Google Sheets, Excel)
  • Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy.


Mentorship

1:1 mentorship, with regular interaction and team meetings. Feedback on completed tasks and continuous learning opportunities.


We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: Email, Google Chat and use Google Drive to store and upload all working files and docs under our Team Files.
