Eliot Beauty, a premium skincare and haircare brand, is seeking to grow its organic traffic and product sales by directly implementing SEO best practices across its e-commerce website. The goal of this project is not only to identify and strategize improvements, but to actively apply SEO enhancements to live product pages, collections, and blog content. This hands-on project will give learners real-world experience in optimizing site architecture, metadata, keyword targeting, and technical SEO—impacting the site’s visibility and search engine performance in measurable ways.

Deliverables

Learners will be expected to both strategize and implement SEO optimizations that directly affect the Eliot Beauty website. Deliverables include:

SEO Audit & Action Plan

  • Conduct a full-site audit using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
  • Identify issues with page speed, mobile usability, crawl errors, duplicate content, and metadata
  • Develop a prioritized list of on-site SEO improvements

Keyword Research & Mapping

  • Research and identify high-conversion skincare keywords, including long-tail and branded queries
  • Map keywords to specific product pages, collection pages, and blog content

On-Page SEO Implementation

  • Write and update live meta titles, meta descriptions, alt text, and headers for at least:
  • 5 product pages
  • 2 new or existing blog posts

Content Development

  • Draft and publish 2 SEO-optimized blog posts targeting search queries relevant to skincare trends, ingredients, or product benefits
  • Ensure blogs include strategic internal links to product pages and use keyword-driven formatting

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Set up Google Analytics and Search Console dashboards to track keyword rankings, traffic growth, and click-through rates
  • Submit a monthly SEO performance report with before-and-after metrics and visual insights
