- What is the main goal for this project?

Our clients are consumers who live busy day to day lives. Whether they’re running their own businesses, home owners, home makers, or simply, car lovers. Our company ensures that our clients have quick, accurate updates on their vehicle services. We use an app to connect with our customers so that our customers can view important information such as; when their previous oil change was and when the next one is due. Our aim is to make it compatible with more devices.
We would like to collaborate with students to create a ported version of our app in a new technology, so more users can access our services.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with our platform, products and services.
- Familiarizing themselves with the features we would like to re-implement in the adapted version.
- Recreating features for our ported version.
- Recommending ways to minimize the challenges of app porting.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Testing the new app.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Familiarity with our platform, products and services
- Familiarity with the features of our apps
- Re-creation of important app features
- Recommendation of ways to simplify app adaptation

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:
- App adaptation
- Software and mobile app development
Nice to haves for students include

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
