Project Overview:

Students will focus on creating a structured recruitment and onboarding plan for the Executive Director of the Youth Empowerment Collective. This project will provide hands-on experience in aligning HR processes with organizational needs and ensuring effective talent acquisition and onboarding.


Key Deliverables:

  1. Recruitment Plan: Develop and implement a recruitment strategy, including job descriptions, outreach methods, and candidate selection criteria.
  2. Performance Management Criteria: Create evaluation metrics for assessing the performance of the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  3. Onboarding Program: Design and evaluate an employee orientation and training program tailored to the Executive Director’s role, ensuring they are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
  4. Communication Strategy: Present and evaluate communication processes related to the recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring clarity and engagement with stakeholders.

  • Develop Job Descriptions: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to define the role and responsibilities of the Executive Director clearly.
  • Create a Recruitment Strategy: Utilize various recruitment methods and platforms to attract qualified candidates, ensuring diversity and inclusion in the selection process.
  • Establish Performance Metrics: Develop criteria for evaluating the Executive Director’s performance, aligning them with organizational goals and expectations.
  • Design Onboarding Materials: Create orientation resources, training schedules, and support mechanisms to facilitate the new Executive Director's integration into the organization.
  • Conduct Evaluations: Implement feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the recruitment and onboarding processes.
