Organization Overview:

Feminine Intelligence Agency (FIA) is a social technology organization designing tools that help women identify and navigate coercive control, emotional manipulation, and toxic relationship dynamics. We create educational, preventative, and behavior-monitoring tools based on years of research in emotional abuse, psychological manipulation, and neurodivergent vulnerability.

We are currently developing three core products:

1. ChatBoy App – A conversational simulator that helps users recognize manipulative patterns in romantic dialogue.
2. Player Identifier Chatbot – An AI tool that analyzes partner behaviors using a 30-trait profiling system to flag manipulative patterns.
3. Listening Lab – A decentralized, peer-to-peer group support system focused on emotional regulation and boundary repair. This is designed as a non-clinical, high-safety alternative to therapy that fosters social discernment.

We are also exploring future wearable integrations for early detection of emotional dysregulation and risk signals (e.g., increased stress reactivity, behavioral rabbit holes, patterns of submission or freeze responses).

Project Objective:

FIA seeks Regulatory Affairs students to conduct a comprehensive compliance and ethics assessment of our digital tools and data practices. The goal is to ensure that our platform is both legally compliant and ethically sound as we scale into emotional wellness, AI-based coaching, and potentially biosignal-based wearables.

Students will:

• Analyze FIA’s current product claims, user experience design, and data practices
• Evaluate regulatory risk across U.S. and international frameworks (e.g., FDA, GDPR, FTC, EU MDR)
• Identify ethical red flags in AI training, behavioral scoring, and user vulnerability
• Recommend positioning strategies to avoid classification as a medical or diagnostic tool (unless intended)
• Map necessary disclaimers, consent language, and UX adjustments for legal and ethical protection

Sample deliverables may include:

• A slide deck summarizing regulatory and ethical risk
• A written report with a regulatory roadmap, ethics checklist, and suggested claim language
• Comparative tables of U.S./EU classification of wellness tools, wearables, and AI chatbots
• Sample UX copy for informed consent, data transparency, and behavioral feedback disclaimers

Key Regulatory & Ethical Questions:

• Do any of FIA’s tools risk classification as a medical device under FDA or EU MDR?
• How should FIA frame product claims to remain in the "wellness" or "educational" category?
• What disclaimers, warnings, or data safeguards are required when users receive behavioral risk feedback (e.g., being told a partner shows signs of coercion)?
• If FIA moves into wearables, how can biosignal data (e.g., HRV, GSR) be ethically and legally used to signal emotional dysregulation or manipulation risk?
• What consent, safety, and privacy standards must apply for decentralized peer-to-peer emotional support platforms like the Listening Lab?
