What is the main goal for this project?

UI/UX Design for a simple application that will be used by organizations in the non-profit Arts & Culture sector in Canada to record their ongoing projects and to review that aggregate information in a dashboard and via reports

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize the design of the application. This helps in testing and refining user interfaces before final development.


How will you support learners in completing the project?
  1. Structured Onboarding and Training: Provide a comprehensive orientation to familiarize the intern with the project.
  2. Regular Check-ins and Mentorship: Schedule regular one-on-one meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and provide continuous guidance with mentor.
  3. Clear Goals and Feedback: Set clear, achievable goals with deadlines to help the intern stay focused and motivated. Provide constructive feedback on their work to encourage learning and improvement, and celebrate milestones to boost confidence and engagement.


What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?
  1. Design Proficiency: Strong knowledge of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and user-centered design practices.
  2. Prototyping Tools: Experience with Figma to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  3. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify problems and generate effective solutions, particularly in optimizing user experiences and interfaces.
  4. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with other team members, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
