Main Goal for This Project

Our company, Forages, aims to promote our sprouting products through targeted Meta ad campaigns. We have over an hour of raw video footage from a recent shoot and need students to transform it into engaging, high-converting short-form video ads (sub-15-second and sub-30-second clips) for Meta platforms.


Students will analyze the footage, understand sprouting and its appeal to our target audience, identify compelling hooks or messages, and create 10 or more video clips optimized for Meta ad testing to improve conversion rates.

Deliverables

Project Scope and Expectations

This project involves editing raw video footage into short, impactful ad clips. Students will:

  • Familiarize themselves with sprouting, our target market (health-conscious consumers), and Meta ad best practices.
  • Review over 60 minutes of raw video footage to identify usable segments.
  • Create at least 10 short-form video ads (5 sub-15-second and 5 sub-30-second clips) with compelling hooks or messages tailored to drive conversions.
  • Ensure videos align with our brand and are optimized for Meta’s ad platform (e.g., proper formatting, captions, and attention-grabbing intros).


Project Details

Students will complete the following tasks:

  1. Analyze Raw Footage: Review over 60 minutes of raw video to understand the content and identify segments suitable for short ads.
  2. Develop Hooks and Messages: Research sprouting and our target audience to craft compelling hooks or messages that resonate (e.g., health benefits, ease of use).
  3. Edit Video Clips: Produce at least 10 short-form ads (5 sub-15-second, 5 sub-30-second) using video editing software, ensuring Meta compatibility (e.g., aspect ratios, captions).
  4. Optimize for Ads: Ensure clips are engaging, visually appealing, and designed to maximize click-through and conversion rates.


Milestones:

  • First: Research sprouting, audience, and Meta ad specs; review footage.
  • Second: Edit and produce draft video clips.
  • Third: Finalize clips, incorporate feedback, and prepare deliverables.


Final Deliverables

Students will submit:

  1. Video Files: At least 10 edited video clips (5 sub-15-second, 5 sub-30-second), ready for Meta ad upload.
  2. Summary Document: A brief PDF or Word document (1–2 pages) explaining the hooks/messages used in each clip and why they were chosen.
  3. Reflection Note: A short note (200–300 words) reflecting on the project, skills gained, and challenges overcome.


Bonus Deliverable: A short list of recommended strategies for optimizing Meta ad performance.
