Details

88Panther Films is exploring futuristic transportation concepts for an upcoming sci-fi movie. The goal of this project is to design and create a prototype of a hover bike using a 3D printer. The project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of 3D modeling, design principles, and additive manufacturing techniques. The team will need to research existing hovercraft exterior hull technologies and incorporate them into a feasible design that can be produced using a 3D printer. This project will challenge learners to think creatively and work collaboratively to solve engineering and design problems, while adhering to the constraints of 3D printing technology. The final prototype should be a scaled-down model that demonstrates the basic principles of hover technology and aesthetic design suitable for cinematic purposes.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed 3D model of the hover bike, ready for 3D printing, and a printed prototype. The team will also provide a report documenting the design process, challenges faced, and solutions implemented. Additionally, a presentation will be prepared to showcase the prototype and explain its features and potential applications in film production.

A Next-Generation Mobility, Health, and Intelligence Ecosystem
From Antarctic ice fields to lunar craters—Horizon Hover redefines exploration, emergency response, and human performance through next-gen hoverbikes, smartwear, and an AR software suite designed for both Earth and space applications.

🏍️ Hoverbike: The Core Vehicle
The Horizon Hoverbike is an all-terrain vertical mobility platform engineered for remote research, extreme environments, and disaster response.

Key Features:

VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) quad-turbine architecture

Zero-emission electric propulsion (optional hydrogen cell variant)

Stabilizing AI autopilot system with adaptive weather navigation

Modular cargo bay for scientific equipment, medical kits, or drone deployment

Operates in snow, sand, ash, lava rock, and low-gravity conditions (lunar-rated prototype in testing)

Swarm-enabled for autonomous fleet operations

🧠 Smarté Helmet™: Augmented Reality Command Hub
A fully immersive, AI-enhanced AR + HUD helmet system that syncs across the entire Horizon Hover platform—wearable by hoverbike riders, field researchers, and astronauts.

Core Capabilities:

Real-time terrain mapping + thermal & LIDAR overlays

Biofeedback integration (heart rate, blood oxygen, cognitive stress)

Mission comms: voice, text, and biometric signals via satellite uplink

Heads-up AR display of navigation, team locations, vitals, and objectives

Hands-free data capture with auto-synced geotags and media logs

Interfaces with NASA EVA systems, space suits, or DOD helmets

🧬 HoverHealth AI: Field Healthcare Grid
Built for frontline medicine and off-grid research, HoverHealth is a portable, modular diagnostic and life support system integrated into the hoverbike's cargo and the Smarté Helmet.

Includes:

Portable diagnostics unit (EEG, ECG, rapid pathogen screening)

Telemedicine uplink for zero-latency expert support in emergencies

Auto-deploy triage drone pod for rapid casualty response

Integrates into hospital systems, NASA life support, or military battlefield protocols

🧠 HoverOS™: Software Platform for Earth + Space
The brain of the ecosystem, HoverOS is a mixed-reality operating system designed to map, manage, and protect human life in remote and extreme environments—on Earth and beyond.

Functions:

Live Mission Management Dashboard (fleet, vitals, cargo, terrain, team status)

Augmented Geoscience Tools (mineral scanning, data tagging, anomaly detection)

Earth-to-Space Communication Bridge: syncs with satellites, ISS, and lunar gateways

Supports research institutions (B2B) and consumer explorer packages (B2C)

🌍 B2B + B2C Applications
B2B
Antarctic & Arctic logistics for NSF, NASA, and NOAA

Volcanology + geothermal surveying
