Beauty, Braids & Beyond (BBB), co-founded by Rochelle, Tosin, and Jada, is an e-commerce beauty supply retailer that aims to revolutionize the beauty supply industry. By leveraging technology and through continuous research on Black hair, skin, and beauty, BBB will offer a personalized virtual shopping experience for all of our customers.
Business Objectives

BBB is dedicated to educating both women and men on the intersectionalities between science, culture, hair care, skincare, and beauty. Globally, many Women of Colour are unaware of the science behind healthy hair and skin. As a result, they routinely purchase ineffective hair and skin care products or utilize the wrong sequence of products to achieve their desired results. BBB uses education as a tool during our customers’ shopping experiences to ensure they can make informed decisions about their purchases.

These campaigns should focus on engaging content, personalized messaging, and strategic timing to maximize open rates and conversions. The goal is to apply classroom knowledge of digital marketing and data analysis to create a measurable impact on sales through improved email marketing efforts. The project will be completed by a team of learners specializing in marketing or digital communications.

We are rapidly approaching our 1st anniversary in business and are looking for support in developing a comprehensive marketing strategy for this occasion. We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, and mission, and reflects what we’ve accomplished in the last year and where we’re headed. . We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools for our 1-year anniversary.

Web Development - Interactive Ingredient Dictionary

Our company advertises thousands of products online. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to educate more customers on product ingredients. We would like to work with students to develop a section on our website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This will be developed on Shopify. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Developing a UX/UI Design of the Ingredient dictionary prototype. Developing the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript portion. Providing training on updating and maintaining the website. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas with feedback.
