Details

The main goal of this project is to plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures to protect Ofori's data, systems and networks. Given the sensitive nature of the information Ofori handles, ensuring the security and integrity of our data is paramount.

Security plan outlining the implemented measures and protocols.

Documentation of risk assessment findings and mitigation strategies.

Training materials and documentation for Ofori

Creation of security status reports and incident response documentation.

Recommendations for future security enhancements and upgrades.

Deliverables

This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:

Planning Phase:

  • Define project objectives and scope.
  • Conduct a risk assessment to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to Ofori's data, systems, and networks.
  • Develop a security plan outlining the necessary measures to mitigate identified risks.

Implementation Phase:

  • Install and configure security software and tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Establish access controls and authentication mechanisms to restrict unauthorized access to sensitive data.
  • Implement secure backup and recovery procedures to ensure data resilience in case of breaches or disasters.
  • Train Ofori on security best practices and procedures.

Management Phase:

  • Suggest roles and responsibilities for ongoing security management.
  • Suggest a schedule for regular security audits and assessments to identify any new vulnerabilities or weaknesses.
  • Monitoring suggestions for network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities.
  • How to keep security measures updated with the latest patches and updates.

Monitoring Phase:

  • Suggest security monitoring tools to continuously monitor Ofori's systems and networks for any potential security breaches or anomalies.
  • Suggest incident response procedures to promptly address and mitigate any security incidents.
  • Suggest a schedule for reviewing security logs and reports to identify trends or patterns indicative of security threats.

Upgrade Phase:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and implement advanced security technologies or methodologies to enhance Ofori's overall security posture.
  • Suggest ongoing training and awareness programs to inform Ofori about emerging threats and security best practices.
