Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal of the project is to support the development and implementation of Synclusiv Inc.'s podcast. Learners will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of podcast production, from conceptualization and planning to recording, filming, editing, and distribution. Learners will work closely with hosts, guests, and other team members to create compelling, high-quality audio-visual content that engages our audience and aligns with our brand goals.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

Podcast Planning and Strategy:

  • Work with stakeholders to create podcast concepts, episode topics, and content strategies that align with our brand and focus on our target audience.
  • Establish and maintain production schedules, episode outlines, and editorial calendars to ensure that episodes are delivered on time.
  • Conduct research regularly and stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience interests, and the best practices in podcasting.

Pre-production:

  • Arrange guest bookings, interviews, and logistics for recording sessions.
  • Create a script and episode content outline that includes interview questions, segments, and transitions.
  • Assist hosts and guests with preparation, briefing, and rehearsal if necessary.

Production:

  • Supervise recording sessions to ensure high-quality audio and video.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and ensure that equipment is set up and working properly.

Post-production:

  • Edit raw audio recordings to improve clarity, flow, and overall production quality.
  • Add background music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the listening experience.
  • Ensure compliance with branding guidelines, copyright laws, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to create episode artwork and promotional materials

Distribution and Promotion:

  • Upload finished episodes to hosting platforms (e.g., Libsyn, Podbean, Buzzsprout) and publish them across relevant channels.
  • Write engaging episode descriptions and titles optimized for searchability and audience engagement.
  • Develop promotional strategies to increase visibility, grow audience, and drive engagement (e.g., social media, email newsletters, cross-promotion with other podcasts).
How will you support learners in completing the project?

The team will support and supervise the intern in understanding the Marketing and Communications strategy and will support the execution of this strategy. The intern will be integrated into the team meetings so they can gain an understanding of how a consulting firm works and to gain a deeper understanding of DE&I.
