Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Refine current prototype design and create design and 3D in AutoCAD / SketchUP or other architectural platform. Result will be used to show investors prototype and pro forma to make business case.


The firm, Middlehouse, is focused on creating multiplex and ADU solutions, either as rentals or condominiums for the Toronto area.


End result should be a complete design and 3D model for the entire project.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The final deliverables include:

  • Complete floorplans, dimensions and 3D model for multiplex and ADU
  • Design suggestions for interiors and material options for exterior
  • Chance to integrate final design with prefab manufacturer and consult on structural and mechanical requirements


How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project.

Opportunity to work alongside our financing, prefab and construction partners to ensure final design addresses all requirements and possible issues at each stage.
