About SaveForward

So many of us wish we could afford to make more of a difference and don't believe our donations are being used efficiently anyways. What if we spent a little less here and there to empower another person directly?

The SaveForward app helps socially-conscious millennials to spend less and put a portion of their savings toward a microfinance loan. These loans empower underbanked individuals to start a business, expand their farm, or go to school, and ultimately lift themselves out of poverty. SaveForward users get to see the direct difference they make in someone’s life, without going over budget.

1.7 billion people are unbanked, meaning they don't have access to tools like credit and student loans to create a better future for themselves. These loans often improve the lives of their children and future generations, and may even create jobs for others in the community.

We are a pre-launch startup in the process of building our mobile application. SaveForward is backed by the MaRS Start Program and the Metaii Accelerator in Toronto.

Project Focus:

  • Marketing research - to understand target market and determine appropriate messaging and channels
  • Marketing Launch Strategy - best ways to allocate paid marketing, potential partnerships for marketing, messaging, examples of digital ads

Marketing Strategy Objectives:

  • Increase beta-test signups/waiting list
  • Create and grow our social media presence
  • Driving app downloads post-launch (paid marketing channels and potential partnerships)
