What is the main goal for this project?

Overview:

We are launching an Admin Portal to manage our digital coalition loyalty platform. This portal is the operational backbone, enabling efficient oversight of transactions, partner management, user administration, member support, and data analytics. We are seeking talented students with a passion for UI/UX design to bring this portal to life.


Objective:

Design a user-friendly, intuitive, and visually appealing interface for the Points Africa Admin Portal that aligns with our mission to provide seamless management of the loyalty program ecosystem. The design should cater to the diverse needs of administrators, ensuring ease of use, efficiency, and a positive user experience.


This will involve:

  • Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed.
  • Identifying key areas of our current website and what areas of focused might return the best results in a redesign.
  • Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the latest and greatest tool currently available.
  • Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly
  • Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Highlight in Design:

  1. Dashboard: Incorporate real-time metrics and customizable widgets for tracking performance indicators.
  2. User Management: Design an interface for easy viewing and editing of user profiles, including account creation, suspension, and deletion functionalities.
  3. Transaction Monitoring: Enable real-time transaction oversight with capabilities to modify, confirm, or reverse transactions.
  4. Partner Integration Management: Visual tools for managing partner onboarding, lifecycle, and reward rule configurations.
  5. Reporting and Analytics: Advanced reporting interfaces for data analysis, visualization, and export options.
  6. Content Management System (CMS): Interface for updating educational and legal content within the user app.


By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Familiarize themselves with our existing product
  • Familiarize themselves with a design tool of their choosing and understand how it works. We strongly recommend Figma.
  • Design and build inside of the design tool all the needed screens for a redesigned prototype of our product
  • Present the final design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Conducting any sort of user testing on the prototypes to ensure ease of use and to collect user feedback.

Final deliverables should include

  • The design screens and all assets in a shareable format
  • A presentation as stated above of the final designs
