- What is the main goal for this project?

BetterSelfToday is an early-stage startup, building a platform for gamification of actions for the B2B and B2B2C markets. In our B2B product line, we are building a solution for gamifying sustainable actions a business can do to improve its sustainability score along ESG dimensions, and leave a positive impact on Earth.
Our guiding mantra is - "Sustainability first, and not an after-thought."
So, our methodology (in development) intends to consider the business model, financial goals, investment desires, and marketing strategy of the business.
As a first step, we are creating a low-cost scalable sustainability assessment process and pipeline of appropriate sustainable actions to recommend to a small business.
We are inviting students, who'd like to challenge the status-quo of pricey sustainability consulting, especially to serve small businesses that are a mix of online/offline and work with international teams and supply chains. E.g. Small businesses on Shopify/Amazon-FBA platforms.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

- Study a few select popular business models and supply chains of small businesses, with an international footprint.
- Co-Create a methodology to compute a holistic sustainability score on various dimensions of sustainability.
- Design a process to recommend modifications/interventions to their business model and/or to their supply chain to improve their sustainability score.

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

Most importantly, we will provide the students with the freedom to implement their creative ideas, we believe it is important to disrupt the market of sustainability of businesses.
We will provide the necessary tools, access to the professional networks to reach out to, and a database of target businesses.
We will have weekly (or Bi-weekly) sync-ups to ensure consistent progress. At a pace, that can fit in the already busy coursework schedule.
