What is the main goal for this project?

We are looking to better understand our communication barriers in our business. We have two sperate needs, 1) Internal day to day communication, 2) Managing communication in major events, planned, and unplanned.

Ideally a simple program with big effectiveness is what we are looking for.

Potential tasks

Researching the brand identity and understanding our culture, Providing a high level analysis on the feedback already given by employees that communication is an issue, Understanding the Cannabis space from environment Canada to support development, Work to create a program that is simple, but achieves the goal of good and effective communication to all levels of employees, Work to create a program that supports cooperate messages in times of major events or issues both planned and unplanned, Take Inclusion and Diversity into consideration, including different learning styles, Finalized processes and recommendations in a power point or training platform accessible to the business.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the the following list of activities will have been completed:

  • Understanding the business
  • Understanding our culture and elements already in place
  • Assessment of current feedback and data
  • Processes and planning that we can implement in the business to break down communication barriers, and to support better communication
  • Understand the Cannabis space and health Canada if applicable
  • Recommendations on next steps, and soft skills for leadership
  • Training set up and detailed roll out and implementation program
  • Consideration to diversity and inclusion and learning styles

Final deliverables should include

  • A final analysis of barriers
  • Recommendations for leaders and follow through
  • Training for implementation of recommendations
  • Data and research - high level to support change.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Access to information, current data and more
  • Culture and background
  • Work within the student's expertise

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

  • Cannabis and Health Canada
  • Research
  • Leadership
  • Diversity and Inclusion

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
