Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

eHacks' website has not been updated in over a year, and reflects our previous mission of exclusively running events at Western University. As the organzation expands and our mission evolves to focus on broader issues, like technical education and career readiness, our website will need to grow and expand as well.

The objective of this project will be to bring us one step closer to a finalized design for our next version of the eHacks website. The activities required to accomplish this "next step" will be based on where our team is at on the design, but may include updated graphics, user experience studies, writing cover for the website, and/or assisting us hone our strategy and determine the best primary foci for the website.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Students will need to:

  • Draft a sample web design in Figma, Canva, or other graphical platform
  • Learn about the eHacks mission and potential avenues for expansion in FY2024, and use that knowledge to guide their design
  • Conduct design review sessions with senior members of the eHacks team
  • Write meaningful cover for the website, where applicable, required, and feasible, to represent eHacks' brand and mission
How will you support learners in completing the project?

eHacks will meet with students at least weekly, for an hour, to answer questions and track progress. eHacks will provide students access to eHacks' Google Workspace accounts, which has our past workshops since our first event. Students will be expected to keep these files confidential.
