What is the main goal for this project?

The challenge is to find the best strategy to enter the market with a less expensive elastic collar extender (under the in-house Brand C2) to directly compete with the metal collar extender without ruining the existing market of elastic high-end collar extenders (sold under the Brand COCHIC and Comfy). The COCHIC is also an in-house brand and the COCHIC elastic extender is sold mostly on Amazon.com and other stores like Men's Wearhouse stores.

COCHIC and C2 are in-house brands. Cochic is a luxury brand and C2 is a less expensive brand.

Both will be selling a worldwide patented elastic collar extender.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Monitoring of competitor products sold on Amazon (we will provide with 4 names of the most important competitors),
  • Monitoring of competitor positioning by cost (we will provide the same as per February 2022),
  • Elaborate on market segments and establish the target audience,
  • Review COCHIC's present strategy and understand the challenges faced for C2's entrance in the market.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on different data provided by us to develop deeper insights on working and failing strategies.
  • Perform detailed evaluation on the opportunities identified and threats posed by competitors and industry.
  • Draw on available expertise and fresh perspectives tu suggest potential strategies. Document alternatives and feasibility with respect to implementation and profitability.
