The experience of working with George and Mirela has been excellent. They challenged the brief to make sure that the value that we derived from the project would be optimised, they guided the students to ensure they met and in this case exceeded the brief. Working with the educators on this project was, overall, a great experience for Bird & Blend. From the initial scoping call to the final online presentation, there was clear communication throughout, quick responses to questions and clear expectations. We also really enjoyed meeting Dr Siantonas in person when he came with the students to our offices and he provided a very useful overview of what the students would be doing, ensuring the brief we created was suitable with a follow up description of their understanding which allowed us to clarify a few points about the brief. We were kept informed of progress and offered virtual meetings which was incredibly helpful and meant as many of us could attend as possible. It was great to be included in the feedback and scoring of the students' work and presentations. A really enjoyable experience, thank you!

My project was lead by Djmitris at the University of Sussex. I am overwhelmingly impressed with the final results. I was surprised to receive the deliverables in such a short time. I had one meeting with the instructor at the beginning of term, immediately followed by one engagement meeting with the class/team. From those two meetings, the quality of the comprehension of my business, translated to a incredible scale of work, visual appeal, simplistic delivery system (from such a complex issue) that far surpassed my expectations. As a busy business owner, I appreciated, as well as respect, that Djimitris was able to instruct his students with such little engagement from me and yet, his students have created the best APP prototype for Radiate Wellness to be able to deliver personalized health and wellness that emulates the process that I use in my clinical practice. I am so very grateful for his professionalism, his mastery of his craft and his ability to share that with his students.

The UoS team was very helpful at every stage of the programme and made it very easy to participate. In particular, their guidance in developing a project brief that was suitable for the students and met our needs was very helpful. This set the foundation from which everything else flowed. I look forward to working together again. The students were also very well prepared for the programme which is also a credit to the UoS team.

The programme was extremely well organised from beginning to end, with thorough guidance from the University as well as due diligence from the student group leader and stellar focus from each member of the group. The research and development was priceless for our SME, bringing together thoughts, strategies and action plans that covered various pillars across the needs of the business for growth and scaling up. The tech tools were efficient and the timelines were equally effective. Final presentation was uber professional and as someone who has viewed a lot of presentations, theirs ranked 5-star.

It's been an absolute pleasure to work with the students from Uni of Sussex. They delivered a really interesting presentation of their findings on my project regarding social media mental health influencers, followed up by detailed and valuable research. This has been a pivotal catalyst for the way I want to focus my attention and services in my business as well as creating a foundation for more extensive research. I'm very grateful to them all for their hard work and generous attention to my existing content, providing much needed feedback from a demographic that I want to engage with.

This was the third project we've run together, but I'm afraid that the results were disappointing this time. Of the 5 students, one dropped out before the project began, two never came to any of the weekly meetings, and the other two had to carry the weight. The team leader did a great job in terms of his persistence, curiosity, an eagerness to learn, professionalism, and keeping a positive spirit despite the challenges. The 2 students who did engage were lovely to work with, and it was a good learning opportunity for them, but I'm afraid that the end result of what was produced didn't fulfil our project goals.

The IMA team was very impressed by the quality and professionalism of the student consultancy team. The recommendations presented to us will advise further research and help us to strategically develop new relationships in the South East Asia region. We believe that team members have been developing both team working skills as well as individual time management while also working on their University assignments. This is a great achievement to produce a quality work under time pressure while at University! Well done team!

Another great scheme provided by Careerlab at University of Sussex. It was very well organised and the schedule worked fine. I would say it felt slightly rushed from my end, I wonder if the students would have liked more time, it would also have been my preference to meet the students in person at our office, but I realise this would take up more time. Thanks for including us in the programme.

The consultancy programme was very well organised with clear guidelines for employers at the outset and helpful communications throughout. The students were very professional in their approach and provided useful findings and recommendations.

We worked with a group of students from the University of Sussex to explore the topic of female entrepreneurs in the media. The presentation the students gave was exceptional and has a lot of potential to help guide our media business. The students had delved into the data on the topic, uncovering both interesting statistics as well as a range of relevant case studies. their presentation skills were impressive including a well prepared powerpoint and a strong and flowing narrative.

We found the programme really useful to us as a business. The students were communicative, reliable and organised and we all really appreciated the thought and effort that they put into the project.

The project run by the University of Sussex was extremely professional and the level of knowledge and depth of experience that the instructors was vast, having worked in the private sector for many years before working in academia. We felt that this really helped the students understand what our expectation was of their work and the best way in which to provide a high-level and comprehensive strategic plan to meet our business challenge.

The team did a fantastic job of facilitating the project, coordinating with the team and ensuring that the project brief was understood and delivered on. We gained many valuable insights from the final report and would be keen to engage with the team in the future. Thank you and well done!

The project was conducted smartly, on time, and with great enthusiasm

I really like the format of the short (1 week) intensive summer internship programme. From an employer perspective, it's minimal time and commitment so very convenient, and it gives us a taste of what today's students are capable of and how they approach their work. Thank you for running a programme like this and helping local small businesses be more connected to our universities!

Isaac, Megan, Chloe, Henry, and Tabitha completed the first joint research project with the University and Inspire You. They communicated well as a team, listened to the brief and were really conscientious and enthusiastic about the project focusing on company wellbeing. They had great ideas and used their initiative when considering the questions they wanted to ask. I loved the attention to detail keeping the survey and feedback of the project on brand using my colours and designs. I am really proud of the project and am showcasing it and talking about it with everyone. You have all worked really hard and should be proud of what you have achieved. The team from UoS was fantastic; very enthusiastic, asking relevant questions from the start and keeping communications open throughout. The final presentation was very good, offering us solutions that we had never considered before, but that we will definitely be looking into and hopefully adopting. They put forward a very convincing case for implementing their suggestions, with clear and transparent details of their research. Some team members went over and above, doing further research for us after the project was technically over, following up on questions asked at the final presentation.
