Virtual Internship with Interior Design Students - Fall 2021

Virtual Internship Opportunity Bring on students from the CIDA-accredited Bachelor of Interior Design program at Yorkville University to be your virtual intern! The student will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Prior to graduation, all Bachelor of Interior Design students must complete a minimum of 180 hours for-credit work experience to gain industry experience as a pre-professional. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.

Are you unsure of how to proceed with managing change in your organization? Working in small groups, students from the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Yorkville University will tackle a problem of your choice and develop possible solutions to overcome these challenges. Students will select the best solution, create a work plan, apply primary and secondary research methods; structure an argument logically and persuasively; customize a message for multiple audiences; and evaluate the findings to provide your organization with final recommendations that help you implement change successfully within your organization. Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Yorkville University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. These will be first year students in the Introduction to Project Management course (Bachelor of Business Administration degree program). This course emphasizes the need for linking the strategic plans of organizations to project selection, organizational structures, and the sociocultural and technical dimensions of projects, as well as how a project manager’s focus needs to shift at different stages of a project life cycle. General Parameters: Virtual student participation (In light of COVID-19 restrictions), supervision of student by organization's personnel, completed Hour Tracking sheet, and end-of-project/participation evaluation.
