The Capstone projects will be completed in groups of 2 to 4 students over two semesters starting in the fall semester (September 2024) and concluding at the end of the winter semester (April 2025). The fall course will focus on students choosing a project, collecting requirements, formulating a design, doing some project planning and building a very rudimentary prototype system. During the winter semester, students will complete the implementation, test and deploy their final projects. Please note that I will be taking some vacation during the months of July and August with intermittent access to Riipen so I may be delayed in replying to project requests.

In this postgraduate program, students will research, work with a contact in your company and provide recommendations. Students have a good understanding of the entire supply chain spectrum and will be able to provide a resource so your company can increase efficiency and supply chain value. All students and projects are supervised by the capstone academic faculty.

This is a course for students in the business stream of our advertising program. They are future Account Managers, Strategic Planners, Project Managers and Media Planners/Buyers.We would have 6-7 teams of students who could do some research and come up with communication strategies. They are capable of putting together social posts, but they are not Art Directors or Copy Writers, so they would not produce any advertising materials.

Computer Networking Capstone Project: Bring on one or more students from Mohawk College in the Network Engineering and Security Analyst (NESA) program to work on a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more computer science or IT projects of your choosing over the duration of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students are available for 32 hours over the duration of the term from September 9, 2020 to December 18, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, projects will be completed virtually.

Beginning this Fall, a McMaster University Bachelor's-level student-consulting group will:work with your organization to evaluate your current business model and customer journeyresearch, prepare, and validate future growth opportunitiesrecommend a research-backed growth strategyprovide a balanced scorecard to support incorporation of the strategy into your businessThe student-consulting group will utilize qualitative (interviews, focus groups or other ethnographic methods) and quantitative analysis and tools to propose and validate the future state. The organization will gain recommendations grounded on data for specific strategic options and considerations related to the business objectives.Note: These students are enrolled in a McMaster/Mohawk Affiliated Certificate Program. The allows the participant to earn a McMaster degree and a specialized Mohawk College certificate concurrently.

Teams of students will work competitively or cooperatively to solve a problem in the fields of electrical, computer or electronics engineering and help design, prototype, test and/or analyze a process or product for your organization. The project duration is 4 months. The outcomes of the project will focus on providing the project sponsor with information on product or process improvement or optimization. Students in the Mohawk College analytics program are trained in data extraction and transformation as well as data preparation, data modeling and reporting on pre-existing data gathered by the organization. These students will work with your organization to analyze data sets and provide any recommendations they may have as a result of the analysis.

Business Analysis students will gather data about an operational or systems process, prepare a report about that process, and map the current and future state (recommendations) of the process. Students have an excellent understanding of the entire business analysis core competencies such as stakeholder management, requirements analysis and management, business process mapping, analytics, and solution assessment. All students and projects are supervised by the capstone academic faculty.

Mohawk College delivers a Software Engineering Project (COMP-CO867) course that all students take in their 3rd year (5th semester), where they work in groups to complete a project with a client/partner. Ideally, the client is a company/organization that requires the development of a software prototype solution to solve a particular problem. The client does not pay for the student effort in these projects. Projects have been completed for Hamilton Health Sciences, local non-profit groups, The City of Hamilton, Industrial clients, and many clients of the Innovation Factory and client through Riipen

VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY!Bring on one or more students from the Software Support and Software Development co-op programs at Mohawk College to be your virtual intern! Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the work term (Summer 2024), connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.This is a paid co-op opportunity. Students would be hired as employees of your company and covered under your WSIB insurance. Students are available between May and August 2024, and require a total of 420 hours of paid work to qualify for co-op credit.Hourly wages are set based on minimum wage in Ontario ($16.55/hour).

Social Service Worker students are ready to virtually support individuals, families, and communities through delivering social service programming to clients. As “professionals in training”, our students are ready to help out in various ways, developing their skills, knowledge, and attitudes that are necessary to enter the field as a social service work practitioner. We are looking for placement sites where students can apply in practice the concepts and theories learned in the classroom. The students have learned in the classroom about many aspects of social service work, including interpersonal skills, counseling, group facilitation, and case management. Please note that all of our students will have their Vulnerable Sector Screening completed.The students are available for 200 hours of unpaid, for-credit work experience beginning in both September 2021 and January 2022.

The Human Resources Intern will provide support to your human resources department in all of the functional areas of human resources management. Mohawk College's students are University or College graduates who have graduated within the last three years from an accredited College or University. Additionally, our students have completed all of the required coursework to attain a CHRP designation. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.Students are available for 250 hours of placement from April 26 to June 11, 2021.Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.
