Overview
Details

Public Health Evaluation class. Bring in doctoral students from the University of North Dakota’s Public Health Program, Evaluation class. Students’ knowledge covers various Public Health areas, with community understanding at the local, state and tribal levels with special curriculum emphasis on indigenous populations. Students will help assist in various roles within your organization pertaining to development of and evaluation plan throughout the academic semester from February 2021 to May 2021. This can be extended per agreement with student and UND. The opportunity for collaboration is available to any agency or organization that provides a public health service with Public Health or within Health Service Administration.

Project Examples

Students can assist with the following initial steps for evaluation planning:

  1. Help engage stakeholders from programs involved, served and affected, and primary users of the evaluation.
  2. Assist in describing the program’s needs, expectations, resources, stage and establish the logic model.
  3. Help describe the focus of the evaluation design by assessing issues and concerns to stakeholders.
  4. Help gather credible evidence and recommendations.
  5. Assist in justifying conclusions based on evidence gathered, derived from the CDC: standards, analysis/synthesis, interpretation, judgment, and recommendations.
  6. Help ensure use and share lessons learned by the inclusion of the following CDC recommended steps: design, preparation, feedback, follow-up and dissemination.
