Calling all Automotive and Manufacturing Based Companies!!

This program is supported by the Career Ready Fund which is intended to support the automotive sector. Eligible employers will be provided with $3,000 per student/recent alumni hired. In this course, students will engage in an applied project of your choosing to design and produce deliverables of your choosing.

With this funding you can hire several co-op students, apprentices and alumni from any of our specialized programs at the college including:

Business, HR, Project Management & Accounting

Social and Digital Marketing, Strategic Relationship Marketing

Learner skills
Digital marketing, Business services, Marketing strategy, Communication
Deliverables

Funding

• $3,000 per eligible and completed work placement by an eligible participant (i.e. student, recent grad or apprentice)

• $5,000 per eligible and completed work placement by an eligible participant with one or more disabilities.

• Wage support from all sources (e.g. the employer, Co-op Education Tax Credit and Career Ready Fund’s Auto Stream) cannot exceed 100% of the wages paid to a participant.

Project Examples

Examples that students can design and manufacture include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate the viability of a concept, product, good and/or service in a local, national or international markets.
  • Conduct market research to provide information needed to make marketing decisions.
  • Communicate marketing information persuasively and accurately in oral, written, graphic and interactive media formats.
  • Formulate a marketing plan that will meet the needs or goals of a business or organization.
  • Develop an integrated marketing communications plan for a product, concept, good and/or service based on an identified market need or target.
  • Evaluate the impact of global issues on an organization’s business opportunities by using an environmental scan.
  • Apply principles of corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility and ethics to support an organization’s business initiatives.
  • Assess and use current concepts/systems and technologies to support an organization's business initiatives.
  • Conduct and present research to support business decision making.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate projects by applying project management principles.
  • Perform work in compliance with relevant statutes, regulations and business practices.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of employee recruitment, selection, and retention strategies.
  • Administer and facilitate the performance management program.
  • Coordinate and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of employee orientation, training, and development programs.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.

Be able to complete a performance evaluation form for students.
