LocalStudent Inc. CRM Software Improvement Project
The main goal of this project is to investigate and analyze LocalStudent Inc.'s CRM software and provide suggestions for improvement. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:- Analyzing the existing CRM software and its features.- Identifying areas for improvement and developing a plan to address them.- Researching and testing new features and technologies that could be integrated into the CRM software.- Developing a timeline for implementation of the improvements.- Testing the improved CRM software and making adjustments based on feedback.
Improving LocalStudent's User Interface
The goal of this project is to research and redesign the user interface of LocalStudent Inc.'s website. This will involve researching other leading home service companies' interfaces, providing suggestions on improvements to our interface, and implementing them once they receive approval.
Digital Marketing Intern
We’re looking for a student to help us source, curate, develop, and post the content implementing strategies to increase awareness and nurture engagement. The goal of this content is to grow the LocalStudent's awareness, both among general students who complete work for us, and for our potential customers.
Business Development Intern
We’re looking for a student to help us source and message potential customers. This involves finding customers through platforms like NextDoor, Kijiji, LinkedIn, as well as remote home service events, and setting up meetings and assisting in moving the potential customers along the sales process.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
We’re looking for a student to help us with recruitment, interviewing and, hiring. The student will review resumes, will source potential candidates through platforms like LinkedIn, conducting pre-screening calls with potential candidates, and conducting initial interviews with candidates who meet our criteria.

We're looking for students to help us manage cash flow, payment collection, and dispute resolution. The Account Manager will also play a very key role in managing our clients, including upselling, customer satisfaction, and generating referrals for our business.

The goal of this project is to increase the followers of LocalStudent Inc. on various social media platforms. This will involve developing strategies to increase followers, creating and overseeing social campaigns, producing content, and reviewing analytics. Additionally, the project will involve reaching out to current followers to see why they follow LocalStudent Inc. on social media, and if they use the services or work for LocalStudent as contractors. The project should also come up with strategies to increase the amount of followers that actually use the services.
US Expansion Analysis Project
The main goal of this project is to gather and analyze data from cities in the United States to determine which are the prime targets for expansion. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:- Gathering data on overall population, number of university age students, level of competition for our services, if the cities cultures are conducive to any of our services, etc.- Analyzing the data to determine which services we should launch in each city, or if we should not launch in them.- Researching other variables that can help inform the decision making process.- Testing the data analysis and making improvements based on additional data.
IT Phone System Review
The goal of this project is to review the current phone system of LocalStudent Inc. and write a report on whether the company should change from its current provider to having its customer service centre registered as a call centre. The report should cover the costs of each method, expected growth, and the load put on the data systems by implementing this change.
