Encouraging Pet-Friendly Rental Policies Through Behavioral Research
This project aims to support property owners in adopting pet-friendly rental policies by addressing common concerns related to pet behavior and property damage. Students will conduct research on the behavioral tendencies of dogs and cats in residential settings, analyze common landlord concerns, and provide evidence-based strategies to mitigate potential issues. Through this work, students will develop practical communication materials to educate property owners on responsible pet ownership and the benefits of allowing pets in rental properties. This project will also strengthen students’ abilities to apply scientific research to real-world challenges while improving their public engagement and science communication skills.
Washington, DC Historical Housing Research Project
The goal of this project is to conduct a comprehensive historical research report on 150 housing units in the Washington, DC area. Attache Corporate Housing aims to enhance its understanding of the historical significance and architectural evolution of these properties. The project will involve gathering historical data, architectural details, and any notable events associated with each house. This research will provide valuable insights into the cultural and historical context of the properties, aiding Attache Corporate Housing in marketing and client engagement. The project will require students to apply research methodologies, data analysis, and historical documentation skills learned in their coursework. The tasks will include archival research, data compilation, and report writing, ensuring a cohesive and informative final product.
