We are looking for assistance in researching public and private foundations and other funding sources that would be a match for our organization and programs.We believe this project will include:Identify potential grants, sponsors and funding opportunities that match the goals and priorities of the EFC’s organization and its programs that accept unsolicited proposals and letter of intent (this could include corporate foundations and banks).Research similar organizations and their fundersLiason with our development team to create a resource library that includes descriptiions of our different programs and the needs they are addressing.Conduct research on publications and data that speaks to the importance of the programs and services we are providingAssist with drafting grant proposals. EFC provides youth with an experience in democratic living with the aim of helping them to become more thoughtful, informed, responsible and effective global citizens and leaders in the struggle for social justice.

Brand Identity and Graphic Design

Our organization needs some rebranding, renaming and graphic design help! We are looking for teams that can help amplify what makes us unique, create better messaging for our brand and properly communicate who we are! This would include identifying areas of improvement and developing a plan for better promotion and brand awareness. The organization was established in 1946 when Encampment for Citizenship had a particular context and meaning. Today this name is often misunderstood so the challenge is to keep the original spirit and, if possible, the original acronym EFC but come up with words other than “encampment or citizenship.”

Outreach and recruitment strategy for a national social justice youth leadership summer program

To develop an overall youth recruitment strategy for participation in our 2024 national summer leadership program that goes beyond our existing recruitment base (organizations and individuals). This summer's program will be held in Montgomery Alabama and will focus on voting and civil rights.

Fundraising via Grant Writing

We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications that support our mission and vision statement.We believe this project will include:Identify potential grants, sponsors and funding opportunities that match the goals and priorities of the EFC’s organization as a whole and for our environmental justice project and accept unsolicited proposals (this could include corporate foundations and banks).Research requests for proposal (RFP) for match with EFC.Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding for each potential grant.Write a draft proposal for each match.Improve the clarity and persuasiveness of EFC’s grant proposal writing.
