Creating a portal for B2B customers to manage their gift box orders

For this project, Meinhardt is looking for a group of students to create a new webpage portal for B2B customers to utilize. The portal will be needing a few different parts including and not limited to: home page, sign in function, admin panel, order history, payment uploading functions, production schedule, and more. The portal will not require an online payment processing component. With a project for 4 students, we aim to have each student focus on different sector of the project. We currently have a draft that includes an outline of the portal that breaks down the flow and process, and are open to discussions to brainstorm and achieve the most desirable outcome. We are looking forward to working with students to see what their insights are and help them in getting some working experience!

Project Management with Execution

About the Company: Linda Meinhardt established Meinhardt Fine Foods in the South Granville community in 1996, quickly earning recognition for culinary excellence as Western Canada’s first gourmet grocery store of its kind in Western Canada Buy-Low Food LP, owned by the Jim Pattison Group, purchased Meinhardt in September 2012. You can “feed your curiosity” today at our South Granville store or stop by our second location, which opened in September, 2015 in the heart of downtown Vancouver at Pacific Centre. Two new Meinhardt stores are slated to open, Meinhardt Ambleside, West Vancouver summer of 2017 and Meinhardt Burrard Place 2018. Project Overview: We recently completed a Digital Marketing Strategy with BCIT students and are looking to execute on this. Specifically, we are in the midst of launching a Meinhardt app for our Fresh Product Categories & Gift Box Delivery Service and would like to work with a student group to help with ideas and execution. Project Deliverables  Phase 1 – Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare detailed plan for completion of the project. Phase 2  – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks. Phase 3 - Outcome Report and Presentation: Students will submit detailed report on the outcomes of the project. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organization representative(s) are invited to attend these presentations.
