About Company In a world where education was moved completely to an online system, the connections among professors and students became more distant, disconnected, and stressful for all the protagonists In Civita Laurea, we believe that a successful experience in teaching for professors and learning for students comes from the compatible and empathic connections among them and their teaching and learning styles. We bet for a new educational paradigm, where the technology and the new AI models, will be the bridge to make teaching and learning, engaging and flexible. Our work is helping professors to redesign the current educational materials, in an adaptive and engaging way. This includes understanding the students' learning patterns to be able to fit the existing courses' contents, to acquire skills more effectively, being part of a community where they can share the knowledge with other professors, and being able to increase their income by contributing the growth of the acquisition of knowledge in the educational environment. Civita Laurea’s main components are: • Courses’ contents classification, diagnosis, and feedback. • Users' profiles report • Intelligent gamified platform and flexible instructional design. Our priority is developing the MVP (Minimum Viable Product), which will show in a small and functional version, the value proposition for professors and students that will compete with other solutions existent in the market. We chose to work with non-code tools. This is a perfect project for students that know how to develop a platform using code, are also familiar with non-code tools, and can visualize how with them, it will be much easier to develop a good, attractive, functional, and innovative project. What do we need? 1.- Continuing the development of the web application that allows users: Implement a content evaluation system provided by simple user rating. Automatize the reception of a report based on a Web Service interaction which can get statistics about documentation. Our interest is getting a process that draws the web service response to a web page publishing the documents with users registered and/or open to any person that belongs to the platform as a user. Complete or improve details in those parts that eventually could have been non finalized in the previous stage, such as actualization of the user's dashboard, registration, membership details, uploading of files, chat implementation, etc. Students should be prepared to: Work with the agile methodology's soul. Build a functional website with NON-CODE tools for both, front and back ends. We are working in WordPress with different plugins and combining with Typeform and Google services. Setting up a server, using a database, and designing a basic REST API Provide documentation for updating and maintaining the site Technology used Civita Laurea is expecting to use these suggested (but not limited) non-code frameworks: Forms : Typeform, arengu. Automations: zapier, integromat. Web: WordPress CRM / database : airtable, Mailchimp Payments : stripe User profile/membership : member stack Analytics : Google Tag Manager / Mixpanel BONUS : If the student also speaks Spanish, it will be a bonus skill that we would love, but is not mandatory at all.
Digital Marketing strategy to launch and get first users
Civita-Laurea is a new Start-Up in education, that has the vision of building a new educational paradigm, using AI to reinforce the connection between professors and students, and rethink the way that the teaching-learning process is developed measure today. As our vision is ambitious, and our bet is big, we need some digital marketing strategy that allows us to launch and shine from the first minute and in a way that represents us according to our vision and goals. So, we need your help! We are looking for teams that can help amplify what makes us unique and create the best messaging for our brand. This would include identifying areas of improvement and developing a plan for better promotion and brand awareness. This project may combine research, data analysis, graphic design w/ Sketch or Adobe XD, one-page creations, and more! As we are starting, we are flexible with new ideas that help us to design consistency between our vision and our image. We believe this project will require: Market analysis and research to define our unique brand position and create consistent promotional messaging A branding guide that includes what type of messages will represent us better, what type of visual content we should create, which are our keywords, etc. A suggested program of content to be published in social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter, based on the road map estimated for the next three months and some ideas to continue after those. Using the best available tools according to design visual content that can be implemented into our brand communication. We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as the co-founders, website, and all the necessary information to give life to your ideas about the brand identity in the digital market. We can also suggest names of competitors to research. Finally, we expect that students work but are not limited to WordPress and no-code layout mockups (like canva.com ). If the student also speaks Spanish it will be a bonus skill that we would love, but is not mandatory at all.

Machine Learning Models for Classifying Educational Videos
About Company Civita Laura bets for a new educational paradigm. To achieve it, our proposal is an intelligent platform to make learning engaging and flexible. Our work is helping professors to redesign the current courses at universities, secondary schools, and other educational institutions, in an adaptive and engaging way. This includes understanding the students ’learning patterns to be able to fit the existing courses’ contents to acquire skills more effectively. Civita Laurea’s main components are: • Courses’ contents classification and diagnosis • Users' profiles report • Intelligent gamified platform and flexible instructional design Project Scope Our first goal is the courses’ content classification and diagnosis. We believe in Machine Learning as the technology which would classify the databases in useful content. One of the assets which will be uploaded by our customers will be videos. Our desire is obtaining a tool for classifying videos, based on their content and other characteristics based on the teaching-learning process's requirements. What do we need? We need to understand how an algorithm could be developed for classifying educational material. We can access hundreds of videos or images for different classes and the classification process is a very time consuming and laborious process. The challenge is trying to identify it through ML processes. We are seeking students who are looking for technology specifically around machine learning and image recognition. Students that are interested in creating the datasets needed to train the computer to identify classes. Responsibilities will include catalog videos and images, tagging them. After that, the team should define, train, and fit models. • The goal of this project would be to use machine learning or other image classification techniques to help sort images and videos based on classes. • A machine learning model that would classify videos and photos in a topic of math courses. The model should be able to classify the files by more than a topic, specifying which topics are taught and establishing other patterns related to teaching styles. The project provides an opportunity to participate in the development of an Artificial Intelligence project from concept through completing the tool for classifying videos and images. ● Database Build. o The students will help us to build a Database for storing files. ● Machine Learning Software Solution o Building new models for object detection machine learning algorithms o Creating a recommendation, spotting trends in existing data, spotting anomalies in data sets Students should be prepared to: • Work with a like-agile project methodology. It isn’t necessary to be adjusted completely to the documentation, just working with the agile methodology's spirit. • Creating Machine Learning Algorithms with their datasets for training, fitting, and evaluating quality. • Providing documentation for updating and maintaining the models. Who will you work with? You will work directly with the Civita Laurea’s Founders who have the time and a clear understanding of the basis of a web application. (Typeform format is a possible alternative to be used) 2.- A web application that allows users: Signing in and managing their account Uploading files in a personal account (Text Documents, Spreadsheets, PDF, Images, Videos, Audios, HTML, and more) Publishing the documents with users registered and/or open to any person that belongs to the platform as a user. (Permits of access to be defined for the user) Receiving a report based on a Web Service interaction (in this case, a Dummy Web Service, which can get statistics about documentation).
